DZ Doodles color challenge

For this challenge we had to use 3 designated colors, yellow, dark blue and a medium blue. I used DCWV cs and dp and copic markers to color this beautiful digi. When I first saw the colors, I knew which paper I wanted to use but when I saw the cards, Kim had used the exact same dp paper from CTMH that I was thinking of....LOL. I just realized there is a black mark on the card. Gotta go clean the scanner screen.

Saturday, October 31, 2009

Day 245

Day 245 at 365 cards was to make an "inchie". I have made these before but not for this site.

Day 244

Day 244 at 365 cards was to use 3 transparent objects on your card. I used 3 buttons from my stash, DMC floss for the ties on the buttons, DCWV "Nana's Kids" cardstack and CTMH stamps.

Day 243

Day 243 at 365 cards was to make a bouquet. I still have that black stuff on my scanner that will not come off....sigh

Day 242

Day 242 at 365 cards was to use 7 ribbons on your card. I found all these ribbons in my stash and used them along with images from Paperworks.

Day 241

Day 241 at 365 cards was to "Put a list on your card instead of a sentiment." I immediately thought of a recipe with a list of ingredients. I found this well-loved, rather soiled recipe card in my file box. After copying it, I attached it to the card with cut out stamped items.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Day 240

Day 240 at 365 cards was to use a pin on your card. I used a mint green safety pin. The bling is pink although it looks silver in the pic. I used CTMH papers, a crocheted flower that I made, and the bling and the duckie are from my stash.

Sunday, October 25, 2009

Day 239

Day 239 at 365 cards was Sketchy Sunday. I managed to make the triangles...phew! Too much like work for me, I don't have templates. LOL I used Paperworks paper and stickers.

Macabre Monday #010

Macabre Monday at Haunted Design House's challenge this week is to use green, purple, black, and or tan with something round and shiny on your card. I used stamps, punches and Copic Markers on my card today. I added 2 shiny silver brads for Frankie's neck bolts.

Day 238

Day 238 at 365 cards challenge was to use twine on your card. I used DCWV cardstack "Nana's Kids" for the background. I used Penny Black hedgehog images colored with Copic Markers, and, of course, twine.

Week 72 Penny Black Saturday

Week 72 at Penny Black Saturday was to make something spooktacular using at least 1 Penny Black stamp. I used the Trick or Treat set which I love. I colored the image of Frankie with Copic Markers and sponged the edges of the papers with CTMH cocoa. I used twine from my stash, a square punch from I don't know where, and made the computer generated sentiment. I gave it to my friend Bud. He laughed at the Frankenstein saying.

Day 237

Day 237 at 365 cards was Friday's Five. You had to use 5 stamps on your card. The stamps are from Penny Black's Trick or Treat. I used an SU punch, Copic Markers, Staz-on ink, and some cardstock I had laying around.

Friday, October 23, 2009

Day 236

Day 236 at 365 cards was Pretty Paisley. These 2 papers are from CTMH Precious Paisley. The sentiment is also CTMH. The buttons and ribbon are from my stash.

Day 235

Day 235 at 365 cards was to combine purple, red and brown. At first I was put off but as the card went together, I began to like it.

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Day 234

Day 234 at 365 cards was Tuesday Trio. We had to use a tag, a pearl, and a ribbon on our card. I used CTMH stamps colored with Copic Markers, a Stamping up punch, 2 black pearls for "eyes" on the tag mummy (which I put torn paper on and distressed it to make it look like dirty bandages,) and a Happy Halloween ribbon from the Target $ bin. At first I only put one pearl on as an accent piece but when I was walking to my computer room to scan it, I had a "flash" about using another pearl and making eyes. I wish those flashes would come more often. LOL Have a great day everyone!

Day 233

Day 233 at 365 cards was to find a piece of fabric in your home that you love and using it for inspiration for your card. I bought 3 of these Halloween dish towels because I liked the design so much. For my card I used CTMH purple paper, brown textured paper...unknown, CTMH stamps, Copic Markers, and a ghost punch possible from Fiskars. I think I want to do some punched out leaves in fall colors to help break up the brown or some pumpkins on the lawn befor I give this card away. This was a neat challenge.

Sunday, October 18, 2009

Day 232

Day 232 at Super Sketchy Sunday at 365 cards. The cardstock is from CTMH, the images are from Penny Black, I used Copic Markers, and the sentiment was computer generated.

Day 231

Day 231 at 365 cards was "Imagine This: The Sky" I'm late getting this done.

Saturday, October 17, 2009

Day 230

Day 230 at 365 cards was "Shape Up." We had to have a semi-circle on our card. I used DCWV "Green" cardstack. I cut out the little animals. I should have used a different color semi-circle as the animals don't show up well. I think they are adorable!

Day 229

Day 229 was a color scheme on 365 cards. I used CTMH tulip, cocoa, olive, bamboo, and buttercup cardstock. I used a punch for the stars, balloon, cupcakes, squares, stars, hat, present, and candle. (Unsure of what company they are from.) The sentiment is from CTMH.

Day 228

Day 228 at 365 cards was to use the same patterned paper in 2 different colors. I used DCWV "Nana's Kids" polka dot paper for the background, the shirt and the 2 dots on the bottom. I used Copic Markers to color in the DOTS design.

Day 227

Day 227 at 365 cards was "In Motion". We had to depict motion in our card. Mine is the butterfly. I used Copic markers to color the digi stamp (so sorry, I don't know where it came from), DCWV "Nana's Kids" designer paper, and CTMH cardstock for the backgrounds.

Day 226

Day 226 at 365 cards was to have the word "so" on your card. The twilight CS is from CTMH, the stamp and sentiment are from Stamp La Jolla, and the background DP is from DCWV. I colored the clothes, hair and shoes with Copic Markers and then paper pieced it.

Day 225

Day 225 at 365 cards was Super Sketchy Sunday. I used CTMH cardstock and papers. The "precious" tag is from K & Co. I'm playing catch-up this week.

Sunday, October 11, 2009

Day 223

Day 223 at 365 cards was to create a shadow. I used a transparency to create the shadow on the bottom. Unfortunately, you can see the adhesive on the corners. Any ideas on what to use that would not show through? I love this card and would like to make more. This was a good challenge.

Day 222

Day 222 at 365 cards was to pick 5 things to put on your card. I picked 3 patterned papers and 2 penguins.

Thursday, October 8, 2009

Day 221

Day 221 at 365 cards was "Imagine This: Denim" I used CTMH stamps from the Blue Jeans set and CTMH outdoor denim and cranberry ink. I used my Cuttlebug bubbles folder and I found a silver star applique to stick on (because back in my day we decorated our jeans.) I used 2 metal dots for the pockets and I put a gift card in the pocket.

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Day 220

Day 220 at 365 cards was "In Stitches." We had to have cross stitching on our card. I think Pam and I must be on the same wavelength or something. I made a bunch of cross stitched ornaments to put on cards with pop dots. They can then be taken off the cardstock and hung on the tree. This will be for my neighbor as we both love Cardinals and we see which one of us can put the best food in the feeders to attract them. It's all in fun. I only had one Cardinal kit so I'm really sacrificing this for her. LOL The cross stitch was a kit that you stitched on plastic canvas. The papers are from CTMH and I'm not sure about the punch.

Macabre Monday #008 Terrifying Treats

These candy bar holders are the brain-child of Angie at http://www.mychicnscratch.com
I used CTMH paper and ink. Mine are slightly different than Angie's as I used googly eyes for the mummy, a different punch for the candy bar, and slightly different size circles for the Frankenstein eyes. I haven't put a ribbon on Frankie yet but you can see the one on the mummy. I think these are adorable. You slide the candy bar in through the punched area so it hangs out a little, it's like a match book.

Monday, October 5, 2009

Day 219

Day 219 at 365 cards is "In and Out" meaning we had to weave a design on our card. I used DCWV paper from the "Once Upon a Time" cardstack, CTMH ink in Hollyhock and Cocoa, and the sentiment and flowers are from CTMH also.

Sunday, October 4, 2009

Day 218

Day 218 at 365 cards was Sketchy Sunday.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Week 69 at Penny Black is Autumn Breezes using a Penny Black stamp and autumn colors. I used a punch I had (no manufacturer name on it) to make the leaves and the pumpkins. I used DCWV cardstack "Green" for the background, PB hedgehog (love them), Copic markers for the pumpkins and the hedgehog, CTMH cardstock for the leaves, and a Sakura gel pen for the pumpkins. The ribbon is something I had hanging around. I am going to give this to a friend who takes very good care of his lawn (almost to the point of being crazy). I put on the inside "Happy Fall! Time to rake the leaves."

Day 217

Day 217 at 365 cards was Stampin' Saturday. We had to stamp a background that was the same color as our cardstock. I used CTMH twilight cs with CTMH twilight ink for the background. The stamps are from Technique Tuesday, the ribbon is Offray, the bird paper is from DCWV "Green" cardstack. I am lovin' that cardstack :-) Now I am all caught up until tomorrow.

Day 216

Day 216 at 365 cards was Ad Inspired and had a picture of 3 tote bags. This is my take on one of them. I used black cs that was in my scraps, DCWV "Green" stack for the background with the birds, CTMH stamps for the sentiment and flowers, CTMH twilight ink, and the Swiss dots Cuttlebug folder to emboss the black cs.

Day 215

Day 215 at 365 cards is all about the 4 elements, water, fire, earth, and air. I found a model of the elements on the internet, printed, cut and pieced it onto the card. I used DCWV cardstack "Green Stack" for the words and I used DCWV "Fairy Tales" for the background cardstock.

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Day 214

Day 214 at 365 cards was to leave white space and follow this pattern. The strips of paper are from DCWV "Old World" cardstack, the brads on the side are from Paper Wishes, and the bats on the top were punched from paint chips. It looks like it needs a big pumpkin in the middle. All my Sept. challenges are now completed....Phew!

Day 213

Day 213 at 365 cards was a paper piecing challenge using the pumpkin. You could also use face parts if you wanted to make a Jack-O-Lantern. I decided to keep mine simple. I used CTMH for the orange, white cs for the ghosts, Miss Elizabeth paper for the stem and leaf, DCWV "Old World" cardstack for the background, and ribbon from the dollar bin at Target. I also used a black gel pen to mark the pumpkin, leaf and stem.

Day 212

Day 212 at 365 cards was to put fringe on either edges of your card. A co-worker is retiring so I made this card for all of us to give to her. She's 74 yrs. old and drives a bus for developmentally disabled folks. She had one of the worst runs as far as distance, snowfall, etc. God Bless ya Kitty! The paper is DCWV "Nana's Kids" cardstack, the cs is CTMH, the fringe is actually eyelash yarn that I knit fancy scarves out of, the crocheted flower is something I made, and the brad is from my stash.

Monday, September 28, 2009

Day 211

Day 211 at 365 cards was Sketchy Sunday. I took some liberties with the design. I used CTMH paper, unmarked ribbon I got at Target, cats, pumpkins, and a bat punched out of paint chips, a charm (it's silver but looks black on here) from a kit, and Penny Black stamps. I used a $ store gel pen with sparkles to make the stitches in the corner (hard to see.)

Day 210 and Penny Black Sat. Challenge

Day 210 on 365 cards was to do some sanding on your card. I ran my CTMH yellow cs through my Cuttlebug using the hearts folder. I then sanded it with fine sandpaper. I love how the CTMH cs has the white core...makes it great for sanding and distressing.
The Penny Black challenge was to use chocolate, pink and yellow on your card along with a Penny Black sentiment or stamp. I used the hedgehog, sentiment, and bee. I used Copic markers to color the hedgehog and the bee.

Day 209

Day 209 Challenge at 365 cards was to use a Jungle theme. I used a CTMH stamp from "In the Wild" and CTMH background paper from the Expedition set. I made the sentiment on word pad. I had the jute and brads hanging around. I love this monkey and the background paper.

Day 208

Day 208 at 365 cards was a challenge combo. We had to use 3 challenges, 1 each from June, July and August. I used June 29, Use all 4 seasons on your card with the SU tree stamps, July 27, Sponging on the background, and August 27, Going Vintage with the little buttons. The ink is CTMH breeze and cocoa, and the cs on the back of the trees is CTMH twilight.

Day 207 and Macabre Monday #006

Day 207 at 365 cards was to make your own patterned paper. I stamped the background of this Halloween card with $ store stamps and a couple of Penny Black stamps. Macabre Monday challenge was a color scheme taken from a bowl of Halloween M&M's, purple, orange, black and green. Yum!

Day 207

Day 207 at 365 cards was Tuesday Triplets. You had to have 3 of everything except the sentiment. DP is from DCWV "Once Upon a Time" cardstack, flowers and "Dream" are CTMH stamps. Flowers were colored with Copic Markers.

Day 205

Day 205 at 365 cards was a Color Scheme. The colors were cranberry, orange, brown, red, yellow and aqua.
